No es fácil encontrar una fórmula que funcione en mis labios secos, por lo que cuando Sonia de la Cosmetica de Anjou y Anouk del blog Un viento del este, mencionaron lo contentas que estaban con éstos labiales quise probarlos.

Tiene una textura tipo mousse que con una sola pasada deja color sobre el labio. El acabado es aterciopelado, no es puramente mate y lo mejor de todo es que mis labios no se siente secos. El aroma que tiene me recuerda a una marca de refrescos de mi país, aunque para hacerlo más generico diría que huele a algodón de azúcar o dulce de fresa.

La marca nos dice que con éste producto no necesitamos retoque, pero en mi caso después de comer el color desaparece del centro quedando solo las orillas. Además tengo que mencionar que en mis labios no duran las seis horas que la marca promete ya que tengo la manía de apretarlos y morderlos, por lo que si no tienen ese problemita seguro la tinta les puede durar seis horas. Tengo que hablarles del tono de éste labial que en la publicidad parece un nude rosa pero que recién aplicado parece un rojo ladrillo y al asentarse cambia a un rojo coral. Así que no confíen en los tonos mostrados en la publicidad.

Estoy pensando en hacerme con más colores ya que la fórmula me ha gustado mucho, por lo que si tiene labios secos pueden probar algún tono de los Ink Velvet de peripera.

It is not easy to find a good formula for my dry lips, but when I read the opinions about this product from Sonia (Cosmetica de Anjou) and Anouk (Un viento del este) I wanted try it.

Its consistency is not watery it's more like a mousse and it is very pigmented. It has a velvet finish on my lips an these don't feel dry. Its scent reminds me to strawberry candies, so it doesn't bother me.

Brand promises us that the color stays even after 6 hours with no touch-ups but in mi case this is not possible because a tend to bite my lips, also after eating the color only keeps around my lips so I need to retouch it. The color is something particular in this product, in the swatch of the publicity you can see that this shade is a bit pinky, but when I apply it on my lips is like a fire brick color and after an hour the color change to a coral red, so don't trust in the publicity haha. 

I'm thinking to buy more shades of this formula because is really friendly for my dry lips, so if you have some struggles for finding a good formula for your dry lips you may consider this product.

[TRUE ISLAND] Honey Bee Royal Propolis Solution Serum

Desde que descrubrí la propiedades del própoleo para mi piel con tendencia al acné busco incluir un producto con éste ingrediente en mi rutina. Hasta el momento mi ampolla/serum favorito ha sido la Propolis Sparkle Ampoule de Tosowoong, pero eso no me impide probar otras opciones, por lo que hoy les hablaré del Honey Bee Royal Propolis Solution Serum de True Island y descubrirán sí la ampolla de Tosowoong sigue siendo mi favorita.

Since I discovered the propolis properties for my combo acne-prone skin I try to include a product with this ingredient in my routine. Up to know my favorite serum/ampoule with propolis has been the Propolis Sparkle Ampoule from Tosowoong, but I wanted test another one and this from True Island was my first option. Cuando estaba a punto de terminarse mi ampolla de própoleo de Tosowoong le eché el ojo a ésta de True Island, y no es que no estuviera contenta con el producto de Tosowoong, pero quería probar uno diferente.

Es un suero con una consitencia densa, yo diría que hasta pegajosa, y un ligero aroma a miel. Como puden ver en el INCI los ingredientes que la marca promociona como los más importantes se encuentran en medio por lo que sus concentraciones pueden ser menos bajas de lo esperado en especial con el própoleo y la miel que al menos en la ampolla de Tosowoong están entre los primeros lugares. Sin embargo cumple lo que la marca promete: que es hidratar y ayudar a sellar esa hidratación, ésto gracias a su consitencia más pegajosa que hace que al momento de llegar al paso de la crema no tenga que usar tanta cantidad. Debido a su consitencia pegajosa y que tarda en absorberse en mi piel es que éste serum lo utilizo en mi rutina nocturna, que como he dicho en anteriores reseñas, es cuando utilizo ácido exfoliantes y necesito hidratar, calmar y humectar la piel.

En mi experiencia sí he notado que me ayuda a controlar los granitos y a desinflamarlos, ya que el própoleo tiene propiedades anti-bacteriales y antiinflamatorias, por lo que en general es un serum que al menos en mi piel funciona, y aunque no me ha desagradado usarlo no lo volvería a comprar, me gusta mucho más al ampolla de Tosowoong que además tiene una mayor concentración de própoleo.

Creo que le puede gustar a casi todos los tipos de pieles excepto las que tienen pieles grasas ya que tarda en absorberse, y la textura pegajosa sobre la piel puede ser incómoda.

When my Tosowoong ampoule was almost gone I started looking for a new serum with propolis and this one from True Island was my first option. It doesn't mean I didn't like the product from Tosowoong but I wanted try something different.

This serum has a sticky consistency and a lightly honey scent. In the INCI you can see that the key  ingredients (propolis, honey and royal jelly) are in the middle but the brand doesn't mention the percentage of them. I really wanted know the percentage of propolis because in the Tosowoong's ampoule is the 80%. However I got what the brand promises: a serum which helps me to hydrate and seal this hydration, all of these thanks to its sticky consistency, so when I apply the cream don't need to use a huge amount of it. Because of sticky consistency, which takes to absorb, I use it in my PM routine after applying my acids and I need to hydrate, calm and moisture my skin.

In my experience I have noticed that it helps me to control my hormonal acne and to reduce inflammation, since the propolis has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, so in general it is a serum that at least works on my skin, and although I do not has disliked using it I would not buy it again because I prefer the Tosowoong ampoule that also has a higher concentration of propolis.

I think it can like almost all skin types except those that have oily skin because it doesn't absorb quickly  and the sticky texture on the skin can be uncomfortable.
